Early Childhood Music

A Nationally-Accredited Early Childhood Music Program exclusive to the Washington Conservatory of Music, Conservatory Kids classes provide a nurturing and enjoyable first music experience for children ages 3 months to 6 years. Three levels of classes are offered year-round and grouped by age and developmental stages. All classes are taught by a faculty of professional musicians and music educators.

As children take their first steps in music, rhythmic movement and in tune singing are reinforced. The Conservatory Kids program leads naturally to further exploration of pitch, timbre, notation, and the instruments of the orchestra, and provides a solid foundation for private lessons. The Conservatory is happy to offer guidance on structuring a musical plan tailored to the individual child. Build your own Early Childhood Music Classes are also available for play groups with a minimum of six students of similar ages (0-6 years) who would like us to create a special 45-min weekly music class as can be arranged with faculty.

For information or registration for private lessons: call 301-320-2770

Please note: $13 Glen Echo Park class registration fee applies to classes. Online registration begins August 5 for fall & winter; January 27 for spring & summer.
