Washington Conservatory of Music, in cooperation with Washington Performing Arts, presents a Master Class with American classical pianist Emanuel Ax and three select students at Westmoreland Circle. Admission is free. Families with children are encouraged to attend.

Beloved by audiences, American pianist Emanuel Ax has been a fixture of the piano world since his 1974 win at the first Arthur Rubinstein International Piano Competition. Listen in as he coaches Washington Conservatory piano students in a variety of works in this free master class.

Emanuel Ax will perform an all-Beethoven solo recital presented by Washington Performing Arts on Wed., May 6, 2020 at 8 pm at The Music Center at Strathmore showcasing his “thoughtful, lyrical, lustrous” playing (Washington Post). Click for recital information.
