DESCRIPTION:This multi-level refresher class focuses on traditional Kerry-style of playing emphasizing drum positioning\, stick control\, basic styles and finding the downbeat. Tune types include the jig\, reel\, hornpipe\, slip jig\, slide\, and polka. Class will informally discuss the definition and characteristics of Irish traditional music including history and the role of percussion.
