DESCRIPTION:The Washington Folk Festival returns to the enchanting Glen Echo Park on Sunday\, August 23\, 12:00-7:00 PM. Now a one-day event\, expect a jam-packed roster full of dancing\, storytelling\, and music ranging from American to International styles. You’ll hear bluegrass\, Celtic\, Americana\, blues\, and Zydeco\, as well as folk music from around the world including a special Middle Eastern track this year. \nWCM’s very own Irish Music Faculty Tina Eck and Lilt duo partner Keith Carr perform with Irish step dancers Kate Bole and Lauren Milord at the Washington Folk Festival at Glen Echo Park! This festival is FREE\, and you can hear Lilt at 2:00 PM at the Cuddle Up Pavilion\, right outside of WCM. \nThis program is presented in cooperation with the Glen Echo Park Partnership for Arts and Culture\, Inc.\, the National Park Service\, and Montgomery County\, MD.
