Mike Kligerman, ukulele, will present “The Many Moods of the Mighty Ukulele” during a Casual Concert at Glen Echo Park. The concert will last about an hour. Admission is free, and all donations support the artist. Families with children are encouraged to attend.

Mike Kligerman showcases the versatility of this small but powerful stringed instrument in an entertaining, one-hour concert for the whole family. An accomplished musician, visual artist, and teacher, Mr. Kligerman is a former member of Nairobi Opera Orchestra, a former faculty member of Kenya Conservatoire of Music, and a current faculty member of the Washington Conservatory of Music. In addition to playing ukulele, he performs across metropolitan Washington, D.C. on a variety of instruments including violin, viola, bass, acoustic guitar, and accordion.

This program is presented in coordination with Art Walk in the Park. Every first Friday, May through September, from 6 to 8 pm, Glen Echo Park hosts open studios and artist demonstrations throughout the Park’s many art studios and galleries.
