The Washington Conservatory of Music is currently seeking music teachers in the following areas to teach private lessons:
- Bassoon

Suzuki Violin Teacher
Suzuki Cello Teacher
Duties:
- Teach private Suzuki lessons at two campuses in the metro DC area as well as leading a beginner string orchestra, including recruiting students
- Commit to a consistent teaching schedule and maintain regularity with lessons with limited interruptions or absences.
- Provide a professional, warm, and enthusiastic learning environment to all students as well as communicating with students and family members about progress and goals through semester progress reports and as needed.
- Encourage and offer student performance opportunities within the studio and at WCM as well as maintaining knowledge about musical opportunities and offerings at WCM and externally to enhance the student experience.
- Demonstrate a commitment to collaboration with faculty colleagues and WCM ensembles through performances and musical events.
Qualifications:
- Experience Level: 3 years +
- Candidates should have a Bachelor of Music degree (Masters preferred), be an active member of the Suzuki Association of the Americas (SAA), and have at least units 1 – 4 registered with the SAA (long-term training preferred).
Salary:
- Extremely competitive and negotiable based on experience. Tuition reimbursement offered for ongoing SAA training
