Suzuki Violin Teacher
Suzuki Cello Teacher
Duties:
- Teach private Suzuki lessons at two campuses in the metro DC area as well as leading a beginner string orchestra, including recruiting students
- Commit to a consistent teaching schedule and maintain regularity with lessons with limited interruptions or absences.
- Provide a professional, warm, and enthusiastic learning environment to all students as well as communicating with students and family members about progress and goals through semester progress reports and as needed.
- Encourage and offer student performance opportunities within the studio and at WCM as well as maintaining knowledge about musical opportunities and offerings at WCM and externally to enhance the student experience.
- Demonstrate a commitment to collaboration with faculty colleagues and WCM ensembles through performances and musical events.
Qualifications:
- Experience Level: 3 years +
- Candidates should have a Bachelor of Music degree (Masters preferred), be an active member of the Suzuki Association of the Americas (SAA), and have at least units 1 – 4 registered with the SAA (long-term training preferred).

Position Title: Marketing and Operations Intern

Position Overview:
The Marketing and Operations Intern will support the Washington Conservatory of Music’s efforts to enhance its visibility, streamline operations, and engage the community. The intern will gain hands-on experience in marketing, communications, and operational support while contributing to the growth and success of WCM’s programs.
Key Repsonsibilities:
1. Marketing and Communications:
- Develop and schedule social media posts to promote events, programs, and donor engagement.
- Assist in designing marketing materials, including flyers, newsletters, and email campaigns.
- Conduct market research to identify trends and opportunities for WCM outreach.
- Maintain and update the WCM website with current program information and events.
2. Event Support:
- Assist in planning and coordinating logistics for WCM events, concerts, and fundraisers.
- Provide on-site support during events, including registration, setup, and audience engagement.
3. Operational Assistance:
- Support the day-to-day operations of WCM, including managing calendars and tracking deliverables.
- Organize and maintain digital and physical files for marketing and operational activities.
- Assist with data entry and reporting using CRM tools.
4. Community Outreach
- Engage with community partners and stakeholders to build relationships and promote WCM programs.
- Assist win creating outreach campaigns targeted at schools, families, and prospective students.
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Communications, Arts Administration, or a related field.

The intern will gain hands-on experience in donor stewardship, grant writing, event planning, and database management while contributing to WCM’s mission to provide exceptional musical learning experiences to the community.
Key responsibilities:
1. Donor Engagement:
- Assist with donor acknowledgement processes, including thank-you letters and personalized outreach.
- Support research and cultivation of prospective donors.
2. Grant Writing and Reporting:
- Assist in drafting and editing grant applications and reports.
- Research potential grant opportunities and funding sources.
3. Event Support:
- Help plan and execute donor appreciation and fundraising events.
- Track RSVPs and support event logistics on the day of the event.
4. Data Management:
- Update and maintain the donor database (CRM) with accurate records.
- Generate reports to track progress on fundraising goals.

The Registration / Enrollment and General Operations Intern will play a critical role in supporting the Washington Conservatory of Music’s administrative functions. This position offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in arts administration, including registration, enrollment processes, data management, and operational support. The intern will work closely with the administrative team to ensure seamless student and program operations.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Registration and Enrollment:
- Assist with managing the registration process for new and returning students.
- Respond to inquiries via phone and email regarding class offerings, schedules, and policies.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date student records in the registration database.
2. Data Management and Reporting:
- Compile and analyze enrollment data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
- Assist in preparing weekly enrollment and inquiry reports.
3. Operational Support:
- Support day-to-day operations, including scheduling classrooms and managing supplies.
- Help coordinate logistics for events, concerts, and workshop.
