Dr. Yuhe Wang is a pianist and educator holding a Doctor of Musical Arts in Piano Performance from the University of Maryland, College Park, a Master of Music from Ithaca College, and dual Bachelor of Arts degrees in Music and Economics from the University of Rochester, where she graduated with highest distinction in music.
As a performer, she has appeared in the United States and Europe, including engagements at the InterHarmony International Music Festival and the Gijón International Piano Festival. She has received recognition in international competitions, including top prizes at the Debussy International Music Competition.
Dr. Wang is active as a collaborative pianist and chamber musician, performing with instrumentalists and vocalists in a wide range of repertoire. She is co-founder of the Cassiopeia Piano Duo.
At the Washington Conservatory of Music, she works regularly as a collaborative pianist and appears in faculty and guest artist concerts, student recitals, masterclasses, and chamber music programs.
Her teaching is centered on technical development, musical understanding, and individualized instruction, and she enjoys working with students of varying ages and levels to support their artistic growth.
