A native of Madrid, Spain, Victor Garcia is a multifaceted chamber musician, solo pianist, and teacher. Garcia was most recently piano faculty for more than 15 years at the Manuel de Falla Conservatory in Madrid teaching piano and as collaborative pianist in the string, woodwind, brass, and percussion departments. From 2020 to 2025, he was a collaborative piano professor at the Alfonso X El Sabio University in Madrid for B.M. and M.M. students.
Garcia has played with the Spanish National Orchestra, Madrid Municipal Symphonic Band, Verum Orchestra, among others, conducted by maestros such as Dale Clevenger, Josep Pons, Jan Cober, and Miguel Romea. He was the pianist of the award-winning Antara Korai Choir for 14 years, releasing two albums and taking part in festivals across Europe. Garcia was also the pianist for L’Rollin Clarinet Band for 12 years, a Buffet Crampon artist, and recorded three albums, one of them dedicated entirely to flamenco. Garcia’s versatile pianism led him into the theater world in 2023 to 2024 performing in the play Yo Soy El Que Soy across Spain.
As a soloist pianist he has performed in renowned concert halls internationally: the National Auditorium of Madrid, the Mozarteum University of Salzburg, the Monumental Theatre of Madrid, Le Doelen in Rotterdam, the Lucca Music Festival, Castel D’Ursel in Belgium, the Ana María Canedo Cultural Centre in Bolivia, among others. Victor Garcia has also performed with orchestra the Triple Concerto by B. Martinu and Rhapsody in Blue by G. Gershwin on several occasions in Spain and France. In 2012 he was invited by the Laredo Institute in Bolivia to give Masterclasses and a recital, receiving the best critiques. In 2017 and 2019 he took part in Artistic Voluntary Services in Kenya and Guatemala, teaching music to underserved children.
In 2020, during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, when teaching in-person was not possible, Garcia developed piano accompaniment videos for his students as coursework. He adapted the videos into a YouTube channel, With Piano, for musicians of all levels across the world to practice to. His channel has garnered more than 10,000 subscribers and nearly 3 million views.
He received a Bachelor of Music (classical piano) studying at the Royal Conservatory of Music in Madrid and the “Giuseppe Tartini” Conservatory of Music in Trieste, Italy; a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Music Teaching from Universidad Autónoma de Madrid; and a Master of Music (classical piano, cum laude) from CODARTS University of the Arts in Rotterdam, The Netherlands. He also received the Diplôme Supérieur in classical piano from Schola Cantorum in Paris under the tutelage of Aquiles delle Vigne.
He has been awarded scholarships by the Community of Madrid, Spain; and by the Ministry of Education and Culture of the Netherlands with the Nuffic Huygens Scholarship for international students with excellent skills.
Garcia is fluent in Spanish, Italian, and English. As of 2025, Victor resides in Washington DC with his beloved wife and son.
