Piano Lessons
The Washington Conservatory of Music offers individual, private piano lessons for all skill levels. Our program welcomes students beginning at age 5, though we welcome students at all stages of learning, from beginners to advanced.
We work closely with each family to set clear goals and develop a personalized curriculum that reflects each student’s interests. Our dedicated faculty provides regular feedback to monitor musical growth and address areas for improvement.
Beyond learning the piano, our lessons open doors to performance opportunities, competitions, and elite summer programs—helping your child build a lifelong love of music.

Student Opportunities
We provide a number of wonderful opportunities to students in addition to regular one-on-one lessons. Students may take advantage of these opportunities to further develop their musical skills, reinforce their sense of achievement, and engage with the larger school community.

Student & Faculty Recitals
With teacher approval, a student can perform in our regular Sunday student recitals—whether in regular, adult-only, or even informal settings—featuring our Steinway Concert Grand piano for in-person events, with a staff accompanist and up to 30 minutes of complimentary rehearsal (additional time or outside accompanists incur fees).

Honors Recitals
Each year, we invite teachers to nominate outstanding students from grade school through high school to audition for our culminating Honors Recital, where selected performers receive recognition for their achievements and are provided with an accompanist (students must supply their own accompanist for the audition).

Feedback Recitals
At the end of each semester, students have the opportunity to showcase their progress in a feedback recital before a faculty panel and receive written evaluations, with a small fee to cover administrative costs applying.

Masterclasses
Every semester, our faculty arrange informal masterclasses, workshops, and professional development with nationally renowned artists and clinicians that let students explore specific aspects of the piano and perform together as preparation for or an alternative to regular recitals, with free participation for registered students (a minimal accompanist fee may apply).
