Instrumental in developing the percussion-training standard for Air Force Field Band Percussion and produced the CD “Midnight Sun”. Owner-educator, Pyramid Percussion. Former adjunct faculty, American University. Performed with Hank Jones, Freda Payne, Carl Fontana, Rob McConnell, Chuck Israel, Jim Pugh, Gene Bertoncini, Maguire Sisters, Blackstone the Magician, Sheri Lewis, Bruce Conti, Rich Little, Sista Monica Parker, Aretha Franklin, Jimmy Heath, Master Chorale of Washington DC, Nena Freelon and Vanessa Rubin. Former timpanist, Anchorage Symphony. Currently, drummer/percussionist for Metro Stage and performer at venues throughout the Metro area.

Faculty (guitar, music theory, jazz improvisation, and jazz ensemble) at Eastern University, PA.

Performed with other jazz greats including Cedar Walton, McCoy Tyner, Hank Jones, Milt Jackson, Dizzy Gillespie, Clark Terry, Sonny Rollins, Eddie “Lockjaw” Davis, Harry “Sweets” Edison, James Moody, Archie Shepp and Blue Mitchell. Accompanied many singers including Billy Eckstine, Joe Williams, Donny Hathaway, Anita O’Day, Roberta Flack, Betty Carter. Performed on Verve recording releases of singer Shirley Horn. Tours with Red Norvo, Tal Farlow, Al Grey and David “Fathead” Newman. Over 60 recordings. Faculty, University of the District of Columbia.

Member, The Duke Ellington Orchestra with performances throughout the U.S. and abroad including Japan, Singapore, Korea, Israel, London, and Brazil. Performs with the Smithsonian Jazz Masterworks Orchestra. Member of the Brooks Tegler Trio. Performed with John Pizzarelli, Houston Persons, Melba Moore, James Moody, Oscar Castro-Nevis, Warren Vache, Harry James Band, and the Artie Shaw Band, to name a few. Pianist and leader for the Wolf Trap Jazz Trio. Worked frequently as a member of the Charlie Byrd Trio, and appears on his last recording, Former member of the late Keter Betts trio and former pianist and musical director for singer/songwriter Kenny Rankin. Can be heard on numerous recordings and is also a QRS recording artist, having recorded two piano rolls for the New York-based company. Featured artist every year at the W.C. Handy Music Festival in Muscle Shoals, Alabama.
