for soloists for the Winter Messiah and Spring Oratorio Concerts

WCM hosts several dynamic ensembles including the WCM Community Orchestra, The Accord Symphony Orchestra, string quartets, horn ensembles and more. This audition is to identify soloists for our Winter Messiah and Spring Oratorio concerts for WCM Community Orchestra and the Accord Symphony Orchestra. In the past, both ensembles have invited area choir leaders, conductors, and other executives to sit in on the auditions, and there may be additional performance opportunities with those organizations.  Our performance opportunities are paid for soloists/artists and we are happy to feature incredible artists from our DMV community.

Audition Information

Repertoire of your choice plus one of the following: Margaret Bonds, Mahler, Handel, Strauss, Saint-Saëns, Mozart, Beethoven, or Wagner.

At the discretion of the jury, please be prepared for vocalization and/or sight-singing in addition to excerpts from your selected repertoire.
